I read a book once, by a man name Earl Nightingale called “The Strangest Secret”. It was a very interesting book. The summary of the book is how does a person grow up to become the person that he or she become. I remember as a child going to school, how the teacher would ask you what you wanted to be when you grew up. In our imagination we’d say things like, I want to be a airplane pilot or a firefighter and some would say, I want to be astronaut or doctor. You get the idea, it was the imagination that was at work. It was thinking and using that imagination to formulate a concept of being. The ability to form mental images of things that are not present to the senses or not considered to be real. Imagination is everything and you must think in order to have an imagination. Thinking is the highest form of a human-being. The ability to think is what separate us from the animals. Our mind gives us the power over all the creatures on the earth. The great author and play write Archibald MacLeish said in one of his plays “The only thing about a man that is a man . . . is his mind. Everything else you can find in a pig or a horse.” That’s why thinking is so vital.

Remembering when I was eight years old, I would lay outside at night and look up at the stars and think about what I imagine having when I grew up. How many children I would have, what my wife would be like and how we would raise our children. I was thinking these thoughts because my life was not ideal. My brother and I were just two kids my mother had. I was twelve years old when I first met the man who was suppose to be my father. He was no god’s gift to women and he never said much. He made a lot of empty promises. I don’t know what it is to live in a family environment because I have never been part of a family. My mother did a lot of pretending as to us being a family. I guess that’s how it is when you have to be mother and father. Women are like that. As I previously stated that imagination is everything. It has the ability to confront and deal with reality by using the creative power of the mind . There are 6.9 billion people on this planet and my story is just one of about 5 billion considering children and new born babies. I think about the things that have happen in my life in all the years that have gone past. While thinking back it bring back a lot of memories that have been suppress in my mind over the years that I think about now.
