Beware of the dog eat dog theory where everyone else is fighting just to get ahead. This is where non-appreciative people usually thrive. No one will appreciate your contributions even if you miss lunch and dinner, and stay up late. Most of the time you get to work too much without getting help from people concerned. Stay out of this, it will ruin your self esteem. Competition is at stake everywhere. Be healthy enough to compete, but in a healthy competition that is.
When we assume, we often make an “ass” out of “u” and “me”. Assumptions are examples of lazy thinking. Assumptions are the mother of all screw ups. We simply don’t wait to get all the information we need to come to the right conclusions. There is the story of the customer at the bank who after cashing a check and turning to leave, returns and says: “Excuse me, I think you made a mistake.” The cashier responds, “I’m sorry, but there’s nothing I can do. You should have counted it. Once you walk away we are no longer responsible.” Whereupon the customer replies: “Well, okay. Thanks for the extra $20.” Tip: When you feel yourself wanting to draw conclusions, just wait until you have all the information, the facts.
The reality is that throughout our lives we are all constantly growing and developing. Circumstances make us grow and develop, even if we do not make the conscious decision to do so.
Happy, peaceful, contented, trustful, self respectful mental states keep the reason, conscience and judgment clear and proper investments will be made under them. Always see a dividend coming in from every dollar that goes from your pocket. The greatest of all dividends is Experience, for it is ever afterward a mental asset, that increases the value of every decision.
We each have two “selves” – our wounded self and our core Self. Our core Self is our true self, our natural soul self – our essence. Our core Self is our passion, our joy, our gifts and talents, our ability to love, our creativity. We came into this life as our core Self, and when this Self is loved and valued by our parents, we continue to naturally grow our God-given gifts and talents and manifest the fullness of our being. This Self wants to improve by learning the skills necessary to fully express itself.
